SCRWA offers several annual events for networking, training and learning about new
industry-specific products. Registration discounts are offered to SCRWA members.

SCRWA Annual Conference

Each fall, nearly 30 speakers, 100 exhibitors and 300 utility employees convene in Myrtle Beach for SCRWA’s 3-day annual conference. Monday is a day of networking and relaxation with options for sporting clays and golf.

On Tuesday, The Exhibit Hall is packed with nearly 100 water and wastewater-specific vendors providing attendees with information on cutting-edge products and new technology to help you with your system’s needs. Short training sessions are held throughout the day which offers attendees a chance for CEUs. The day ends with a relaxing yet fun social. The last day of the event includes morning and afternoon training sessions led by the industry’s best, offering a chance for CEUs in 3 tracts, including: office management/IT, infrastructure & operations and water resources. Training day also includes a keynote speaker luncheon with annual awards presented to systems, all nominated by you. Ask your counterparts–this is an event not to be missed! Decision Makers Summit

Every February, the annual Decision Makers Summit brings utility decision makers together for networking and training, with a limited amount of exhibitors. The Friday-Saturday event offers attendees a chance to have fun playing golf or shooting sporting clays, all while networking and attending CEU training classes on issues that affect decisions made by your utility, including funding and board training, all taught by the best of the best. Equipment & Operator EXPO

In April 2015, SCRWA held their first annual Equipment & Operator Expo for utility personnel. This one-day event offered hands-on outdoor equipment demonstrations and training with vendors from around the country, while also holding friendly competitions among your peers. OfficePro was created with utility administrative professionals in mind. This day-and-a-half conference covers topics such as human resources, Customer Service, Public Notification Messaging, Pay Practices, Ethics, IT & more. Visit the OfficePro page for more information.

District Events

Throughout the year, our 6 districts will hold events, such as sporting clay shoots and golf tournaments, along with training and lunch, for you to network and enjoy the company of your district counterparts. National Rural Water Association’s Water Pro Conference

WaterPro, a 2-day conference hosted by the National Rural Water Association, is a great place to meet other state counterparts while learning more about the water/wastewater industry on a national level in areas such as operations, management, boardsmanship and governance. Events include an awards ceremony, a 2-day exhibit hall, educational sessions on the most pressing issues facing you as systems, all followed by the Wednesday night closing dinner/inaugural banquet. A lot can be said about having others across the country to learn from and lean on, and this is the event to make that happen!
