Become AWIA compliant ‘In-House’ with SCRWA Assistance – at no cost


America’s Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) of 2018 requires community water systems serving a population greater than 3300 to create a Risk and Resilience Assessment and certify it to the EPA no later than June 30, 2021 and update their Emergency Response Plan no later than Dec.30, 2021.

In order to get you prepared, SCRWA will host the following AWIA General Training Sessions:

    • April 8 at West Anderson Water District

    • May 6 at Marco Rural Water

    • May 27 at the City of Rock Hill

    • June 10 at the Town of Santee

The purpose of these 2 hour training sessions will be to provide general information on achieving compliance as well as an overview of the current tools available to systems to assist in becoming compliant. SCRWA will be available to assist you in becoming compliant at no cost to your system. Consult the SCRWA Training Calendar for more information.
